Half of the UK's most expensive streets are to be found in Chelsea and Kensington, according to new research.
People looking to pick up a mortgage for property in the fashionable London suburbs may be interested to hear that the average house price in the Vale is £4,677,500, while Wycombe Square has an average property value of £4,205,192, according to Halifax.
The most expensive street outside of London is Panorama Road in Poole, which has an average house price of £4,158,333, while the most expensive places outside of southern England are Congleton Road in Cheshire and Kent Road in Harrogate which have average house prices of £1,684,166 and £1,173,373 respectively.
Martin Ellis, chief economist at Halifax, commented: "Chelsea and Kensington have some of the most expensive streets in England and Wales."

Another source of research by Property Finder.com indicates that the number of buyers actively contacting agents about properties over a £1 million is now 58% higher than those buyers looking for properties below £1 million.
